Spring brings new beginnings and team growth at Beacon

We're happy to announce not one but four new additions to the Beacon team. We only hire people we believe will make a difference here, and we’re confident that each one of them will do just that. Find out a little more about them in this article.

It's been a little while since we've had any new starters join the team here at Beacon, but that's all changed now! We're thrilled to announce that four new faces have joined us in the past few weeks, and they're already proving themselves to be valuable members of the team. Each one of them has brought something unique to Beacon, and we can't wait to see what they achieve over the coming months.

Here's a quick introduction to our newest additions to the team:

First up, we have Wayne McFarlane, who has joined us as a back-of-house Procurement Manager. Wayne will be responsible for everything from toiletries to energy and all those things that keep your business running smoothly behind the scenes. We know Wayne will be a great asset to the team, and we're sure customers and suppliers alike will appreciate his first-rate analytical and problem-solving skills.

Next up is Lewis Knagg, who is also joining us as a Procurement Manager. However, he'll be looking after our food wholesalers and F&B manufacturers. Lewis has an impressive track record in the industry, and he's already making a big impact at Beacon. He's working hard to introduce himself to all his key contacts, so please give him a warm welcome when it's your turn.

Penultimately, we have Pat Barrow strengthening our field-based customer-facing team. As a Procurement Services Manager, he'll be identifying ways in which Beacon can help his customers in the South unlock savings and drive efficiencies. It's not an easy task at the best of times but it's even harder during a cost-of-living crisis. However, we're positive that Pat has the commercial acumen and business nous to sniff out a saving if there's one to be found.

And finally, we have Nick Smith who has joined our team of dedicated Customer Support Executives. Nick will be assisting our customers with their day-to-day queries and providing general advice. However, he'll also be providing office-based sales support to two of our Procurement Services Managers, Wilson Bryson in Scotland, and Pat Barrow who we’ve already mentioned. Nick is a real people person with a natural flair for finding real-world solutions, so we're sure he'll be a great asset to the team.

We're lucky to have such a hard-working and dedicated team at Beacon, and we're confident that these new starters will help us achieve our mission of becoming the UK’s most customer-focused Procurement Services Provider. We hope you'll take the time to say hello when you next meet them! However, if you need to speak to any of them urgently, just drop us a message via Live Chat or click the button below and we’ll put you in touch with them as quick as we can. After all, we’re here to help and support you back on the road to post-pandemic recovery.
