Hospitality buyers and suppliers receive a five-star service in the Algarve

Updated: Nov 4, 2021

Following a turbulent 18 months, the Hospitality Industry Forum EU successfully achieved its objective of bringing together purchasing executives and suppliers from across Europe to re-connect, re-engage and finally do face-to-face business again.

Held at the Rio Park Hotel & Spa, situated between the resorts of Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago on the beautiful southern coastline of Portugal, the hotel provided a stunning backdrop to this three-day, highly focused, pan-European business forum.

The highly anticipated event featured a busy schedule of one-to-one appointments, networking sessions and social functions to allow attendees to discuss potential supply opportunities and develop new, mutually beneficial working relationships.

Among the many buyer delegates was Beacon's very own Procurement Services Manager, Alixander Davies. He was there to meet with current customers and suppliers alike and seek out potential new partners to add to our portfolio of carefully selected suppliers.

Alix said, "It was great to see so many people in attendance looking to connect with new contacts and grow their business after such a prolonged period of hibernation. It's been an excellent event for networking with senior decision-makers in an informal and productive environment, and I'm thrilled I've had the opportunity to be introduced to such diverse businesses in the course of my many conversations. I've met some beneficial prospect suppliers and will be sharing their details with the relevant Category Managers internally to see whether there is scope to work with them in the future.

Beacon Procurement Director Clare O'Brien added 'These types of events are an ideal opportunity to mix with high-level hospitality influencers, learn about new emerging products and services, and develop our network of supply partners to benefit our customers. They're also a great platform for introducing Beacon and the support we can provide to businesses looking to make savings and improve profitability through effective supply chain management. That's why our team will have a presence at many more of these events in the future.'

This particular forum may be over for another year, but Beacon will be visiting a similar event on Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th November at The Copthorne Tara Hotel, Kensington.
