Create a bright future with LED lighting

If you're looking for a way to save money and energy, LED lighting is a great option. LED lights use less electricity than both conventional lighting and CFLs, so you can expect to see a lower energy bill. LEDs also produce very little heat, so they're more efficient than other types of lightbulbs. All of this makes them a great solution for helping to reduce your carbon footprint. Find out more in this week's article.

We’re all feeling the squeeze at the lately, with prices rising faster than wages. And it’s not just household bills that are going up – businesses are feeling the pinch too. Energy bills have been on the rise for a while now, and they’re showing no signs of coming down any time soon. In fact, with winter just around the corner, we can expect to see further increases in our energy bills.

So how can businesses keep their energy costs under control? There are a number of things you can do, from making sure your premises are well insulated to investing in energy management software. But there’s one simple change that can make a big difference to your energy bill, and it doesn’t involve any major investment or changes to your premises. Switching to LED lighting is easy way to reduce your energy costs, and it could save you money from day one.

LED lighting provides cost savings through two factors: energy efficiency and lifespan. LED bulbs use just 5 watts of power, compared to traditional incandescent and halogen light bulbs which use 40 watts. In addition, although the upfront cost of an LED bulb is greater than its filament counterpart, LED bulbs have an average lifespan of 20,000 hours, while a filament bulb only lasts for just 1,000 hours. So, 1 LED bulb lasts up to 20 times as long as standard bulbs. And because they last longer, you also save on installation and maintenance costs. So, in short, LEDs save money all along the product lifecycle.

LEDs can also help you reduce your carbon footprint, as they’re 80% more energy efficient than conventional bulbs, and waste far less energy than other styles of lighting. For example, fluorescent lights convert around 95% of the energy they produce into heat and only 5% into light. LED lights, however, convert 95% of their energy into light with only 5% being wasted as heat. This means that LEDs require less power than regular forms of lighting. Obviously, the less energy required to produce lighting, the lower your monthly energy bills will be. So, when you choose LED lighting for your home or business, not only can you help to save the planet you live on – you can also save yourself some money each month.
