Reduce your electricity voltage and bills with this smart technology

As business energy prices continue to rise, finding ways to reduce your company's energy consumption is becoming increasingly important. One way to do this is through voltage optimisation. This process is when the voltage supplied to your premises is reduced, resulting in lower energy consumption. Taurus Energy is an expert in this field, and its smart technology can help you reduce your electricity usage by up to 20%.

Generally, power from the National Grid is supplied at a higher voltage than required. By reducing the voltage supply to the optimum level, you can reduce the amount of electricity you use - cutting your carbon emissions at the same time! In addition, Taurus Energy's solutions are fully automated and tailored to your specific needs, meaning you can save money and energy without any hassle.

So, if you're looking for ways to reduce your business energy costs, why not give voltage optimisation a try?

Transform tap water into nature’s most powerful cleaner

The Tersano Lotus® Pro, sold by Kills, is a wall-mounted fixture that attaches to your power and water supplies to create a Stabilised Aqeous Ozone (SAO). SAO is a highly effective cleaning agent that breaks down dirt, grease and other contaminants, safely replacing traditional chemical cleaners, deodorisers and sanitisers. The patented SAO dispenser infuses cold tap water with ozone to create a high-performing SAO on demand and in high quantities so you can fill spray bottles, mop buckets, and even floor scrubbers at the flick of a switch.

With this product there’s no need for storing, mixing or disposing of traditional chemicals. There’s also no need to worry about the health effects of chemicals on your staff, or even the corrosive effects of the chemicals on the surfaces and equipment that are cleaned. Converting from traditional chemical cleaners and sanitisers to SAO™ will help save over 10 million litres per month of toxic chemicals from being dumped into groundwater, streams and rivers. Add to that the reduction in packaging, transportation fuels and the manufacturing of chemicals, and this solution is one of the best ways to reduce your carbon footprint.

Turn your waste into energy with phs

Washroom services provider phs Group diverts its customer waste from landfills into power generation thanks to a partnership with recycling, renewable energy and waste management specialist Viridor. As part of LifeCycle, phs' sustainable waste management strategy, the partnership sees phs-managed non-recyclable waste transformed into energy at Viridor plants across the UK.

phs collect around 65,000 tonnes of hygiene waste from customers annually, including nappies and sanitary products. If disposed of within landfills this waste can take more than 500 years to decompose.

With the new partnership in place, managed waste will be treated at Viridor's energy recovery facilities (ERFs), creating low carbon electricity which is sent to the National Grid. Plus, most of the ash left remaining from the process is used to make concrete blocks that are used in the construction industry. Therefore, if you use phs’ service not only are you helping to divert waste away from landfill, you’re also creating an energy supply that is approximately 50% renewable.

Transform your waste into a wonder fuel

Used cooking oil is a fantastic feedstock for making biodiesel. Although various crops can be used to produce it, this places a burden on agricultural land and can lead to further deforestation and threaten biodiversity. Creating biodiesel from something that would otherwise go to waste, makes it one of the greenest possible alternatives to fossil fuels. And, because used oil cannot be recycled back into the human or animal food supply chains, this is by far the most sustainable way to dispose of it.

Olleco the UK’s leading refiner of used cooking oil and they use it to create ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) compliant biodiesel, which exceeds the specification required for it to be blended into diesel fuel sold in UK garage forecourts. As a result, their biodiesel can also be used in 100% concentrations in adapted vehicles, such as their delivery trucks. This has the effect of reducing carbon emissions by 88% compared to fossil diesel. So, why not work with Olleco and use your waste oil to transform the planet? Drop us a line now to find out more.
