The Sommelier Wine Awards is a wine competition with a difference. Britain's only on-trade wine competition, it focuses entirely on wines aimed at the on-trade. Since it started in 2007 it has grown to become the first point of reference for the UK's on-trade wine buyers as well as the key competition for wines trying to increase their presence in hotels, pubs, bars and restaurants.

Benefit from award winning wines on your wine list!
Offering award winning wines by the glass is a must for businesses that want to stand out from the competition. Allowing your customers to taste a higher brow wine by the glass can increase their spend in your outlet as they sample multiple offerings or go on to purchase the whole bottle – something they may not have done had they not ordered their first glass.
Staff should not be underestimated when it comes to up-selling your wine offering. Your team are your most valuable asset and Matthew Clark is invested in staff training to ensure confidence and passion is present when in front of a customer.
This in itself creates excellent opportunity for up selling.
