Mitre Linen celebrates its 70th anniversary with new bumper catalogue

Mitre Linen, the trusted British supplier to leading luxury and boutique hotels, is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year.

The company, which has been working within the hospitality industry since 1946, has just unveiled its biggest ever catalogue. Abounding with new products and sizes, the bumper catalogue offers many solutions to hoteliers, whether they are looking to completely transform their guest rooms or just add a touch of colour to their establishment.

The new catalogue features British-made Levitas beds which appear to float above the ground. Inspired by Scottish entrepreneur and designer Craig Phillips’ love of magic, the British-made beds have hidden cantilever supports allowing the bed to hold up to 750kg – the equivalent weight of 10 people.

Engineered to fit all room types, the range of Levitas beds can add a touch of magic to hotel rooms and create an unforgettable experience for guests. What’s more the bed can be made to any height, making it quick and easy to clean and vacuum under, which also reduces dust, dust mites, bed bugs and allergens.

Antibes is the company’s new luxurious micro-stripe bed linen. With its sumptuously high 300 thread count and stripe design, the Antibes range of white duvet covers and pillowcases adds a touch of elegance to bedrooms. The Antibes range comes in Single, Double, King and Super King duvet sizes while pillowcases are either Oxford or Housewife Flap. All are made from 100% cotton and feature in Mitre’s Luxury Collection. Also new is an innovative Coolguard pillow protector which brings a peaceful cooling sensation to guests, whilst protecting hotel pillows from stains and bed bug entry. Reflections, Mitre’s new range of flame retardant woven curtains and bed runners, is available in four different colour schemes and two different patterns with matching cushions.

For spas, the luxurious Enigma vat-dyed towelling range, designed in consultation with some of the world’s leading spas to provide great quality and value, is available in slate, black, chocolate and sand.

Made from super soft 550gsm cotton with no header bars, vat dyed towels are known to hold their colour better, have less linting and will not bleed when exposed to chemicals or sunlight. Mitre’s Enigma’s matching treatment blanket has a lightweight feel with a reversible design: waffle for softness and comfort and a towelling side for greater absorbency and fast drying.

Whilst 2016 marks the beginning of some exciting partnerships for Mitre Linen, notably with the luxury London perfume house Friedemodin, it also sees some renewed partnerships with other Royal Warrant holders such as bed company Hypnos and Yorkshire textile mill Hainsworth. Friedemodin’s range of four wonderful fragrances makes the perfect treat for boutique and luxury hotel guests.

The Friedemodin Jardin Mystique Collection includes four fragrances: Jardin Mystique, Vertine, Rosée de Nuit and Feu Follet, which can be worn alone or combined to create the perfect harmony. Each scent comes as a single 5ml spray with a pouch or a pouch of four scents designed as a complimentary gift for guests. A retail collection in a larger 100ml size for guests is also available.

Also new to the anniversary catalogue are: new sizes of 100% white cotton 
Sports towels with blue header bars; hard wearing Polyzip pillow protectors with a zip; sturdy Chateau beds which are perfect for the education sector, and platform top bases which are available across different bed ranges.
