The long term shipping forecast sees more low pressure and high winds continuing for the month of December, meaning that we will continue to have a volatile month.

The end of December sees the end of native fish quotas, where fishing will become regulated. As a result, fishermen will taking advantage of the fishing time available from now until then.

Remember, Auctions will start to close on 21st and 22nd December and they will re-open fully on 4th January 2016. There will be some small markets available in-between and it is worth speaking with your local representatives to find out more information, should you require stocks.

Buyer recommendations for December 2015

Sea Bass & Gilthead Bream: Origin - Greece and Turkey
Volumes, sizes and quality are excellent and is a buyers pick on farmed fish for December.

Sea Reared Trout: Origin - Norway
Buyers are still raving about the quality and value of this stunning fish and must be a great choice for December.
Native shellfish will be in excellent condition in the month of December. Availability will be strong in the run up to Christmas, however weather will effect diver scallops. Due to sparse deliveries between Christmas and New Year, we would recommend that customers pre-order. Native Lobsters are scarce, Canadian are coming through strong.
