Down Hall Country House Hotel enlists the help of Beacon to ensure its bright future

As one of the most luxurious hotels in Hertfordshire, Down Hall Country House Hotel was keen to keep the site at the forefront of the hospitality sector. By working with Beacon, which provides thoroughly considered, well-planned solutions for businesses, delivered to meet specifications and budget, the hotel was able to improve on its offering to customers looking for the best possible night's stay.

Down Hall Country House Hotel, located in Hertfordshire, called upon Beacon’s Design Service in the final quarter of 2013 to facilitate a £600,000 refurbishment of the hotel’s West Wing; which includes 54 bedrooms and a high-tech gym with adjoining sauna and steam room facilities.

In total there are 99 guest rooms at Down Hall Country House Hotel, which dates back to 1322, all individually designed to reflect the elegance and history of the hotel. Of the 99 rooms, the refurbishment of the West Wing encompassed the transformation of 54 rooms.

Work began on the project during the final months of 2013 and made great progress, reaching completion in March 2014. Beacon, which helps businesses in the hospitality sector grow their profitability, was the project manager on the works - continuing the great working relationship it has developed with the hotel.

Work ran very smoothly; there were a number of on-site visits from our Design Services Manager to inspect the work, and everything progressed accordingly.”

He continued: "The refurbishment of Down Hall Country House Hotel’s West Wing has been a very positive project for us, one which showcases what Beacon is capable of doing. We are best known for our purchasing services, but this project allows us to demonstrate our project management design skills to great effect.”
