Beacon were proud hosts of a VIP River Cruise, as part of the programme of events at Hotelympia this year. Here is what Caterer and Hotelkeeper had to say about our joint hosted event...see more in this week's edition of the magazine!
For 100 lucky visitors to Hotelympia last week, a tiring day of walking the highways and byways of the UK’s biggest hospitality exhibition ended in style, with a cruise along the Thames.
On the first evening of the show, Caterer and Hotelkeeper partnered with procurement specialist Beacon to host an informal evening of drinks, networking and entertainment on board the City Cruises vessel, the Millennium of London. Chefs, restaurateurs and hoteliers rubbed shoulders with journalists, exhibitors and procurement gurus as the cruiser passed the London Eye, Big Ben and other iconic landmarks on the London skyline.
Caterer group editor Mark Lewis said: “Touring an exhibition the size and scale of Hotelympia exhausts even the hardiest innovation seeker. We were therefore delighted to partner with Beacon to revive some flagging souls with a restorative drink, and to introduce them to some new industry contacts”.
Diane Webster, director of marketing at Beacon, added: “Exhibiting at Hotelympia was a first for Beacon and a perfect platform to engage with the hospitality industry. We’d like to thank Caterer and all of our customers who joined us on the cruise for their continued support and their enthusiasm around the repositioning of Beacon. “We’re confident our presence in the hospitality industry will grow and we look forward to helping more hospitality businesses grow their profitability.”
