Heywood House Hotel, a Beacon customer, has retained its crown in the LateRooms.com Best Kept Secret Awards for – the Comfiest Bed.

It is the second year in a row that Heywood House has won the prestigious award, ensuring it remains top of the pile for a comfortable night’s sleep.

More than 6,000 members of the public nominated their favourite hotels in a variety of categories for the 2013 awards and a judging panel of travel experts whittled that down to find the best hotels in Britain in a range of categories including Best Gadgets and Best Spa.

And at the end of the day when guests want to lay down their weary heads, the Hypnos mattress beds at Heywood House still emerged as the best of the bunch.

“We are incredibly proud that our guests and the expert panel still agree that we have the comfiest beds in the industry,” said Heywood House general manager Tom Kennedy.

“Offering guests a comfortable night’s sleep is a fundamental requirement for any hotel and we are proud to have established ourselves as the market leader for the past two years.

“And having recently opening our new bar and brasserie – The Bank – we hope to be able to offer guest the best dining experience before they enjoy the best sleep a British hotel can offer.”

Chris Ward, marketing director at Hypnos, a Beacon Supply Partner, adds: “We are thrilled to hear that Hypnos has contributed to Heywood House’s award win for the second year running.  As a company that prides itself on quality, we work alongside our customers to ensure that we offer them a product that is entirely suited to each hotel’s individual requirements.

“In this instance, our master craftsmen provided the hotel with our Evesham pocket sprung mattresses and firm edge deep sprung divans, which is clearly a winning combination with their guests!”

According to LateRooms.com’s Head of Marketing Lynda Matthews, the awards recognise the hard work that top British hoteliers put in all year round to deliver high quality service to their guests.
