As one of the most legendary sporting settings in the world, The Old Course at St Andrews is a particularly historic customer of Beacon. The prestigious setting, complete with its luxurious hotel and spa offering, teed up a relationship with Beacon five years ago when a requirement for food and beverage support was outlined.

The Old Course Hotel’s Purchasing Manager David Townsend said that his purchasing needs had grown since 2008. And after meeting managing director Steven Henderson for the first time recently, he believed that the future could be bright for everyone associated with Beacon.

“We initially worked with Beacon for food and beverage supplies,” he said. “The fact we are still working together five years on shows that we are happy with the ways things have gone since then. For the past 18 months, price has been the biggest factor for us, but the product has always got to be right and of the highest quality too.”

“I met Steven recently and I can see that he is a very progressive thinker and there are some exciting changes in place for the future.”
