Alcohol Duty Increases - effective midnight Sunday 25th March 2012

You will be aware that on Wednesday 21st March the Chancellor announced an increase of over 5% in the duty rates for all alcoholic drinks in his Budget speech.

You will be aware that on Wednesday 21st March the Chancellor announced an increase of over 5% in the duty rates for all alcoholic drinks in his Budget speech.

As a result of the Chancellor's announcement we have been informed by the majority of our suppliers that they will be passing on the announced duty increases across the trade. These changes will therefore be applied to your invoice prices with effect from Monday 26th March 2012.

So, what does this mean to you? It is likely that the cost of your alcohol from week commencing 26th March will increase. Therefore beacon, in conjunction with suppliers Matthew Clark and WaverleyTBS have provided the following tools to help you manage the increase.
