As you know, beacon is committed to operating our business in ways that help to protect and preserve the environment. So over the last year we’ve been encouraging more and more of our members to receive paperless central billing statements and from September 2010 we will stop producing paper statements. This means that together we will save over 60,000 sheets of paper, 14,000 envelopes and 10 trees, every year!

As you know, beacon is committed to operating our business in ways that help to protect and preserve the environment.  So over the last year we’ve been encouraging more and more of our members to receive paperless central billing statements and from September 2010 we will stop producing paper statements. This means that together we will save over 60,000 sheets of paper, 14,000 envelopes and 10 trees, every year!

If you still currently receive paper billing, your last paper statement will arrive on the 15th September. Your next statement will be sent to you via email on the 13th October (a day earlier than your paper bill would have, because email is quicker than post!).

FAQ’s

Why will the paper statements no longer be automatically provided?
We’re committed to reducing any negative impact of our business on the environment.   All of our marketing literature (including this flyer) has been produced on FSC approved paper for some time, but there is always more we can do.  Moving to paperless billing for all of our members is the next step in our CSR journey and we will be continue to make efforts towards reducing our paper usage even further in the future.

When will the change be effective from?
Last paper statement will arrive on the 15th September. Your first paperless statement will be sent via email on the 13th of October.

How will I dispute without these statements?
Statements will be e-mailed to accounts contact or department who would normally have received the paper bill.

What action do I need to take now?
No further action is necessary as the statements will automatically cease with effect from September 2010.  The Central Billing team will be in contact with you to confirm your e-mail address. You can have the statement sent to as many contacts as you wish. If you would like to advise us of your contact details straight away, please call beacon central billing on 0844 8553484.

What if I still need a paper copy of my statement?
In the unlikely event that you still require your statement in a paper format, please contact us on 0844 8553484 (Lines are open between 9.00am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday).
